There’s plenty to do in the area surrounding our specially-adapted cottage
The cottage is a French Cycling Federation certified mountain bike centre.
Almost 190km of trails marked out by the Federation (maps available from the cottage or from the St André les Alpes tourist information centre)
- “Chemins du Soleil” meeting point:
Thanks to its location, the cottage is perfectly situated along the GTA (Grande Traversée des Alpes) and GTPA (Grande Traversée des Pré-Alpes) mountain bike trails.
The cottage is the perfect place to embark on numerous day trips.
Upon request, it is possible to go on a guided nature tour adapted to all levels of fitness, so you can discover the area and learn more about the region as a family.
Winter-weather permitting, the walking trails nearby are perfect to practise your snowshoe walking skills.
To practise alpine skiing, the Val d’Allos is located approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes from the cottage. For cross-country skiing, the Nordic ski station in Saint-Michel is ideal.
- Swimming and water sports:
Lake Castillon (le lac de Castillon) offers you the chance to practise windsurfing, canoeing, pedalo boating, paddle boarding and many more activities, all of which are available on the beaches of the Saint-André les Alpes et de Castellane region.
For fans of white water sports, the nearby gorges in Verdon have a variety of breath-taking activities on offer.
A tip for climbers – nearby, you’ll find some relatively unknown and well-equipped climbing spots, varying in distance (from 4+ to 7b)
