The "Gîte des Robines"

Nestled in the heart of the valley of the River Asse, the "gîte des Robines" can be found in the charming village of Tartonne.

Our large cottage is located in the Province-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region, at a crossroads for numerous hiking paths including the famous Grande Traversée des Pré-Alpes. We welcome families or groups, whether stopping-over on their journey or for prolonged stays, on a full – or half-board basis, or simply just those looking to relax in our bar-restaurant.

The "Gîte des Robines" is located in Tartonne in the valley of the River Asse which takes its name from the so-called “Les Clapiers d’Asse”.

The village itself is at an altitude of 950m and is surrounded to the east by “La Sapée” mountain (1900m), to the north by the majestic “Cheval Blanc” (2323m) and the famous “Pic de Couard” (1989m), and to the west by the “Barre des Dourbes” and its “Pas de Labau” (1685m).

Tartonne is part of the Haute Provence Geological Reserve, the largest of its kind in Europe.

The accommodation is wheelchair accessible.

The cottage is open from Monday to Sunday (advance booking recommended).

The bar-restaurant is open from Thursday to Sunday afternoons, and on Mondays and Tuesdays on reservation (weekly closure on Wednesdays).

We would be pleased to welcome you throughout the year. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
